Dingdong, Marian teleserye starts June 28

IN ITS 60th year in the business, GMA Network offers the reunion of one of the much celebrated loveteam in Philippine television, the much awaited comeback of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

The highly anticipated return of the couple will happen on June 28 with the pilot airing of the series "Endless Love".

The project is an original Koreanovela series aired on the Kapuso channel in 2003 and earned positive reviews from the viewing public.

In this year's remake, Marian and Dingdong will breathe life to the characters of Jenny and Johnny in the Filipino version of the show.

The two will grow-up in a well-off family knowing that they are siblings. But things will turn upside down when they discover that Marian's character is not the real daughter of Tirso Cruz III and Sandy Andolong's characters, their supposed parent.

A baby switching in the hospital, where Jenny and Shirley, played by Nadine Samonte, started it all.

Jenny will grow up as the loving, simple and kind-hearted young lady Shirley envied. The latter always feel that she need to prove her self not only to her mother, played by Janice de Belen, but to all the people around her.

The resentful Shirley will then take advantage of the situation and will push Jenny to go back to her birth mother. Jenny will then learn the hard way and will work as a hotel's housekeeping staff to earn a living for her real family.

She will then meet Andrew, played by Dennis Trillo, the son of the hotel owner and the bestfriend of Johnny.

This is the first time in primetime history that three big names of the network will star in this big primetime offering.

"It's a great honor to be part of the show and to be working with Dong and Marian. Who can ask for more when this kind of soap is giving to someone," Dennis said.

The actor added that he was a follower of the koreanovela when it first aired that's why he accepted the offer.

"Endless Love" is also the fourth soap opera of Marian and Dingdong after "Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang." Their loveteam became popular first in the remake of Marimar and followed by Dyesebel.

"Ngayong balik nanaman kami sa drama, siyempre naninibago nung umpisa kasi diba ibabalik ko nanaman sa dati yung paghuhugutan ko," Marian said.

According to the actress they already know that this soap will be given to both of them that's why they were able to brainstorm a lot for their characters.

On Dingdong's part he's happy to be working again with her lady love in a television series.

"Sobrang masaya ako kasi diba kasama na ako sa isang napakang gandang programa tapos kasama ko pa yung taong gusto ko kasama araw-araw," he added.

Other stars included in the soap are Bernard Palanca, Jana Dominguez, Marco Alcaraz, Gabby Eigenmann, Ces Quesada, Mosang, Bela Padilla, Ms. Kuh Ledesma and directed by Mac Alejandre.

"Endless Love" also introduces three young stars namely: Joyce Ching, Kristoffer Martin and Kathryn Bernardo, who all went to rigorous auditions before bagging the role. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
