Dr. Hayden Kho faces another scandal

THE battle of Dr. Hayden Kho has just begun.

After Hayden said sorry for his infidelity and currently in the process of patching things up with former girlfriend Dra. Vicki Belo, the male doctor faces another melee in relation with the malicious proliferation of his video scandals in the web, including the rumored sex video with actress Katrina Halili.

These videos were said to be the actual videos Belo discovered in Kho’s laptop, which brought the end of their three-year love affair.

One video portrays a man and a woman that resembles that of Kho and Katrina doing a sexy dance. Katrina wears a two-piece bikini while Kho dons only his underwear.

Another video, also with two persons bear resemblance to Katrina and Hayden, displayed a more scandalous act as they make love in front of the camera. There were other videos also with a man resembles Hayden doing explicit sexual acts with different women.

As Kho’s sex videos grew like mushrooms in the Internet these past days, it became hot topics in forums and news and caught the attention of several government organizations and officials, particularly Gabriela party-list group and Senator Bong Revilla.

Revilla, after seeing the video Tuesday, asked for the revocation of Hayden’s medical license.

Citing Medical Act of 1959, Revilla said Kho’s license should be revoked as he displayed “immoral conduct” for allegedly stealthily filming the supposedly private activity of two individuals.

Believing that the women in Kho’s videos were unaware of his “rude” acts, the lawmaker then held a strong statement against Kho saying that “he is a pervert of the highest kind, a predator who has no conscience or respect for women.”

Revilla also called on the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) to take action in revoking the medical license of the doctor and ban him from medical practice.

He likewise pushed for the immediate passage of a bill against voyeurism or somebody gains pleasure from persistently watching scandalous events like sexual acts especially in secret.

In addition, Revilla sought a penalty against Internet service providers that will upload such sex videos in protection for those victims of voyeurism.

Aside from Revilla, Gabriela also condemned the acts of Kho.

Gabriela Representative Liza Maza told Sun.Star on Wednesday that they are willing to help Katrina and other women involved in Kho’s scandal, especially should these women were proven to be “aggravated” by Kho.

The actress considers charging Kho for violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, which the lady legislator also co-authored.

“We haven’t talked to Katrina yet, but we will try to reach her and Hayden also so we could evaluate if who was really the victim here. If we have proven that Katrina was aggravated definitely the other one should be punished,” Maza said.

She is urging other women involved in Kho’s scandalous videos to surface. “We need to investigate this case. I hope other supposed victims will come out in the open.”

Amid the controversy, Katrina Halili stands strong and determined to make Kho and other people behind the proliferation of the videos pay.

“Hindi ko sila uurungan basta gusto ko maparusahan ang mga taong may gawa nito,” Katrina cried.

Halili has sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Wednesday morning to consult what case could be filed against the cosmetic surgeon and those websites that uploaded her videos.

She then went straight to Senate and also asked the help of the committee.

Senator Allan Peter Cayetano even proposed a shame campaign against the doctor, saying it would be a harsher punishment if people surrounding Kho will repeatedly remind him what he has done by strutting a “shame on you” sign.

Halili was so fueled to fight Kho as she also sought the help of the Department of Justice (DOJ) by asking Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez to put Kho on the Immigration watch-list, prohibiting the doctor from leaving the country to ensure his presence if ever he will be summoned for investigation.

Gonzalez said Kho could be jailed for six years or more if found guilty of violating the laws against women.

Several friends of Katrina also threw support for the actress. Her co-Starstruck buddies Jennylyn Mercado, Nadine Samonte and Yasmin Kurdi appealed to public to stop the dissemination of the video clips.

Two of her former boyfriends Cris Lawrence and Andrew Schimmer also condemned Kho’s acts and conveyed their support to the actress.

“Babae din si Katrina. Mali talaga kung ganun ang gagawin sa kanya,” Schimmer said.

Belo’s camp, meanwhile, refused to comment on the issue citing that Hayden was no longer connected with Belo Medical Group since December 2008.

They also insisted that Belo was not part of the video scandal, thus they do not sense the need to comment on the matter. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)

This is orchestrated by

This is orchestrated by someone to divert public attention first from Manny Villar's Senate investigation and second from the impending Cha-cha. Since the Katrina-Halili issue died to soon, they now cook up the bombings at Mindanao and now terrorist threats in Metro Manila. When will the Filipinos wake up and stop patronizing these issues and voting senators who have not done anything to help alleviate our country's poverty problems.

Hello, Today, I would like

Hello,

Today, I would like to kindly ask you to give me a few minutes of your time to read my letter to you. This is not about me. This is about you, your friends and family and the country you dearly love: the Philippines. There is one young man living in Manila whose life you may not care at all, but I would like to introduce him to you. His name is Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. Perhaps you hate him to death, but I beg you on my knees to just please give me a chance to speak to you.

Some 2000 years ago, Jesus did not just teach his followers; if he did, he would just be a God of Christians at the most, but God of all. He invited sinners to Roman soldiers who were vengefully against him. In fact, he accepted all people with everlasting compassion. What Jesus taught was the meaning of compassion with his deeds. Compassion or compassium in Latin means “to suffer with.” By showing His unconditional love for all people whose life had been continued to divine and sander with agony and hatred, He suffered with them for their suffering was his suffering; and by showing love, He suffered with them.

Even till this day, words of Jesus stand firmly in the hearts of people. Sharing their suffering as your own is to love them as your own kind and to love Jesus; and that was his teachings. Yet, unfortunately many have turned their backs against the teachings of Jesus; and turn to people with agony and hatred that continue to divide and sunder people, which Jesus firmly stood against 2000 years ago. Sadly even after two millennia, people still hate each other and are on each other’s throat.

Think of Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr. just for a minute. You know the scandals. As he admitted he made mistakes, but please think of what he is going through right now. He has the entire nation all up in arms against him: from the careless gossips on each street all the way up to the senate and even NBI. What you may not notice is that he is suffering intolerably and he is being torn apart alive. Is it not more than enough for his misdeeds? What he is going through – agony, suffering, vast sense of desolation and immense isolation – are far more than his misdeeds can ever justify, and this is already injustice, and yet, people still want to torment him more. I want to ask you: “how much more pain do you have to inflict on him before you are satisfied?”

There are many of you who believe in the words of Jesus, and yet somehow manage to do the exact opposite of his teachings by raising their fists of anger and coarse words against him. If you say what you do is justice, I kindly ask you to look at yourself. You are just as good or bad as your words and deeds are; and I cannot help, but wonder what is so just about raising fists with anger and coarse words. If you really think about it, what killed Jesus you dearly love was outrage and violent anger on ancient Romans.

Granted: Dr. Kho, Jr. is not god, but why would you treat him with the same cruelty that ultimately put Jesus to death? How much more sufferings do we have to see before we realize that? In a way, many of us are no better than the ancient Romans who crucified Jesus. When people live in anger, there can never be peace among us but what remains are agony and hatred that will simply divide and sunder us even further. Yet, if we could show even a bit of compassion, love and forgiveness; and really give a touch of human heart to others; we can live in peace.

I want you to think how you would feel if you have the entire nation standing against you in outrage and violence. Perhaps no words can ever match how you would feel, how your friends and family would feel; and you would be crying out for mercy because you are a human. That is exactly what Dr. Kho, Jr., his friends and family and everyone around him are going through. He has gone more than enough; and it is about the time for us to feel what he is going through as our own suffering, and show him compassion, love and forgiveness; and reach out to him him with a touch of human heart. We can do that because we are human, and he deserves that because he is also a human being with heart and emotion just like me, you or everyone else.

By showing him compassion, human love and forgiveness that come from a touch of human heart you can offer, you do good for yourself, for your friends and family and for the country. Please think. You can do it.

Thank you for taking your time.

To Mike, Yes, I agree with

To Mike,

Yes, I agree with you but we have laws in the Philippines. Religion and government are separate. Kho should go to jail...if we talk about God's forgiveness of Kho, that's another story. Religion has no right to demand especially in Kho's case. Let the department of justice persecute him if he is found guilty. Back to God, I respect your religion but we are not sure which is the true church. It is complicated if you discuss about God here...forgiveness depends on the crime...even God destroys His own creation. Thanks.

I do understand how you feel

I do understand how you feel about the situation, pero tama nga naman si anonymous, religion and government are separate.

Alam ko kung gaano ka love ni Jesus si Hayden, and being a Christian we should follow his ways to forgive but you have to remember that we are accountable for our own action.

Ayun nga sa book of Job 4:8 - As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.

We cannot blame people for acting like that, since what he did is unacceptable. Anyhow we have authorities who are responsible for the case, better leave this unto their hands.

My message is to the Senate

My message is to the Senate of the Philippines from a very concerned citizen that lives here in the United States:

Why the hell are you so concerned about personal matters? The way to deal with this is learn to live with it and move on or stop your life until all Filipinos are buried with shame (the second choice is darn stupid).

When will these senators actually do their jobs and think of resolving public issues like improving the lives of Filipinos instead of digging into some worthless individual's personal issues. Leave them alone Senator Bong Revilla. The more you talk about it, the more it’s gonna grow and the right way of helping these two people out of this is to stop talking about this whole damn thing.

Senator Bong Revilla, can you do the Filipino people some favor, do some work! The taxpayers are paying you to do your job well not this kind of work. You act like you are holier than thou and concerned about protecting women’s right? Why not then put up an institution that will protect the abused children in the Philippines? These two I must say are both adults and they both chose to engage in that serious act. Those abused children, dear senator, they did not chose to get abused.

I am a woman myself, I can understand how Katrina feels but it’s not like she did not consent to it. She as an adult acted in such manner by her choice. The abused kids did not. I don’t know what else to say but I think it’s such a shame that we have a very crappy and shitty politics in the Philippines.

First of all, let the DOJ do

First of all, let the DOJ do their work. Bong suddenly became concerned about the issue. Come on, get real! What do you know about that issue?

I think most of the masses

I think most of the masses are now sick of the media coverage this stupid case is getting. Who knows maybe Halili and Kho cooked this up to get some major exposure...and maybe they're the ones who leaked the thing in the first place. Nothing like putting on the water works and being the victim to get a good public show in order to get exposure...I bet you, she'll probably end up a sexy star after this.
