In an interview with Robin, he told Sun.Star and other entertainment reporters that he's okay now that Aljur announced his real status and intentions to his daughter.
"Okay na ako sa dalaga ko. Masayang masaya ako dun. Sinabi ko na yun kay Kylie na ipagtanggol ka naman konti kasi parang ang lumalabas sa balita na siya ang naghahabol (I'm happy for my daughter. I told Kylie to let the guy defend her from all the news coming out because it seems she's the one running after the guy)."
Robin added that he does not want to meddle with his kids’ love life because he trusts them to do what is right.
"Matatanda na ang mga anak ko, okay lang sa akin na maging inspirasyon din sila ng ibang tao kasi kaya na naman nila ang sarili nila eh. Basta kung masaya sila eh masaya ako (My kids are all grown up. I'm okay if they will be someone's inspiration now because I know they can take good care of themselves. As long as they are happy, I'm happy also)."
When asked about his youngest child Ali, who is currently living with his mother Liezl Sicangco in Australia, Robin shared that he's currently learning how to use Skype so that he could call Ali anytime.
"Si Ali sana matuloy yung aming Skype. Yun ang inaayos ni Mariel ngayon na makapag skype kami. Text and tawag lang kasi kami ngayon eh (With Ali, I hope Skype would work out for us. Mariel is doing everything so that I could video call Ali. As of now, I can only text or call him)."
"Mas maganda talaga yung video kasi ginawa namin nung Father's Day and simula nun eh hindi ko na makalimutan kaya ang sabi ko eh gawan naman natin ng paraan na maulit ulit yun (The video calling works better for me. We used it during Father's Day and since then, I'm always thinking of using it)."
The "Guns and Roses" lead actor said there are no concrete plans yet if Ali will visit Manila soon. (Sunnex)
