TELEVISION host Matteo Guidicelli and girlfriend Maja Salvador will star opposite each other in an upcoming Star Cinema movie.

In a television interview with the actor aired on late night news program Bandila, Matteo shared that the working title of the said flick is "My Cactus Heart" and will be directed by Enrico Santos.

"It is about this girl, her name is Andi, which is played by Maja. She loves art and she dates guys which cannot keep her relationships steady."

Matteo said until now he could not believe that he will topbill his first movie this year and will be working with on-and-off screen leading lady, Maja.

"I don't know what I'm feeling. I don't know what to expect, I don't know how is this going to go. I'm going to keep praying, believing and having faith to the Lord that everything is going to go well."

The "Happy, Yipee, Yehey" front man also dismissed break-up rumors looming around for a couple of weeks now. According to reports, the two ended their romance because of their busy schedules.

Matteo said everything is okay between him and Maja and they are both very happy with what they have right now.

"We're good, we are happy together. Masaya kami. She's always there for me and I'm very, very happy and blessed to have a person like her."

He added that the controversies they've both been through in 2011 made the relationship stronger and enabled them to overcome the problems they both encounter.

"All these challenges, some people asks me 'Matteo kayo pa ba?' Yeah, we are still together and if there's love, we fight for the love."

To recall, Matteo had a misunderstanding with Maja's on-screen love interest Coco Martin during the Star Magic Ball last September. It was reported that Matteo got jealous over Maja and Coco's love team on "Walang Hanggan".

Matteo and Coco said everything is settled between them and said their apologies to each other. (Sunnex)
