Dawn, Richard: It could have been us

FORMER on and off screen couple Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez revealed it could have been a “walang hanggan” love story for the two of them if only the latter stayed loyal in their relationship.

During the grand press launch of their upcoming primetime series "Walang Hanggan", Dawn and Richard were asked what's the reason behind their sudden split-up.

"Ako na yung ako. Alam ninyo kasi nung kami pa ni Dawn eh yung isip ko eh batang bata pa. Hindi pa ako masyadong seryoso sa buhay," Richard said.

"Sabi ni Dawn sa pag-iibigan nating ito ay dapat tuwid lang ang landas mo. Hindi ko narinig na sinabi niya na tuwid na landas, akala ko pwede yung sanga-sangang landas. Kaya nung panahon nun eh sabi ni Dawn na kahit ang pag-ibig ko sayo eh walang hanggan, puputulin natin dito," Richard added.

The actor also said their age was also a major factor during their fall out because they were both very young, were looking for different things and had different priorities.

But what surprised the media was when both Dawn and Richard agreed that it could have been a successful union between them if they stayed together.

"Aabot kami ng walang hanggan. May potential siya eh kaya ang sama-sama ng loob ko nun eh. May potential kaya lang eh nagkasanga sanga. Pero past is past," Dawn said.

According to Dawn it took her one year to move on from that painful heartbreak and start speaking again with Goma.

Right now, they are both very happy with their respective families and treasure the kind of friendship they share.

"I think hindi na din mawawal yung enjoyment and fondness namin sa isa't isa. We treasure the kind of working relationship that we have, pinapangalagaan namin yun and we are content," Dawn said.

Richard added: "The good thing sa amin ni Dawn, right now we are good friends, we are both very happy with our families and yung asawa ko mahal si Dawn at mahal ko yung asawa ni Dawn."

Dawn revealed that there's an open communication line between her and Lucy and she's happy that Richard married the television host-turned-politician.

"I'm happy for him because he married such a lovely person. It takes a certain kind of woman like Lucy, to have such confidence in her bearing. She allows you to work with your ex-girlfriend and she doesn't mind it and she supports pa nga eh."

On her part, Dawn also shares a happy family life with Davao Del Norte Representative Anton Lagdameo. The actress said she never thought she would meet a man who is very loyal, supportive and loving after all her past heart breaks.

"Walang masamang tinapay dun. Si Anton talaga eh very faithful and loyal. He never gave me any reason to doubt. I think I am so blessed kasi akala ko wala ng ganung lalaki sa mundo. I though all men were basically the same, but not Anton," Dawn ended with a happy grin. (Sunnex)
