KAPAMILYA actress Maja Salvador clarified all is well between her and boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli's family.

Recently, rumors circulated that Matteo's family is not keen in the actor’s showbiz relationship with Maja.

However, Maja, during the grand launch of her newest afternoon soap "Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin" on ABS-CBN, denied this.

"Bilang inglesero yun, hindi niya na-clarify sa tamang tagalog. Iba yung pagka-translate niya," Maja said.

She added: "Siyempre yung family niya hangga't maari eh kung pwede lang eh ayaw nila ng showbiz na girlfriend kasi mahirap eh, pero in fairness sa kanya gumawa siya ng effort and unti-unti po nila akong nakilala."

According to Maja, she understands Matteo’s parents concerns because it is difficult to maintain a relationship, which is constantly seen on public.

But Matteo did everything for her parents to get to know the actress and she's happy to share that she's very close with his mother.

Maja even revealed that she and Matteo’s mother are text buddies.

"Marami kaming pagkakaiba, pero natututo kami sa isa't-isa. Hindi pa naman kami ikakasal. Marami talagang pagdadaanan ang relasyon, hindi perfect agad."

The actress also shared that one of the many qualities of her boyfriend is his attitude toward her family.

According to her, he really made it a point to know everyone close to her and to let them feel that they are also appreciated.

Maja revealed that when her mom celebrated her birthday, she was in the US and could not arrange anything for her. But Matteo, who was in the country, made it a point to surprise her mom.

"Wala ng sasaya pa, lalo na pag nakikita mo yung pagmamahal at yung pagpapahalaga niya sa pamilya ko."

She added that during the holiday season, Matteo also showered her family gifts while he only gave her Mochi balls, a Japanese product made by sticky rice and ice cream filling.

"Bonga yung gift niya sa mga taong nakapaligid sa akin, sa family ko. Hindi na ako aarte kasi tama na yung gift niya sa akin eh bonggang pagmamahal, yun na lang."

Maja and Matteo topbill the first salvo movie of Star Cinema this 2012 entitled "My Cactus Heart," which open in more than 100 theatres nationwide starting January 25. (Sunnex)
