Director Mac Alejandre joins TV5
Tuesday, February 7, 2012
AFTER doing numerous television works for the Kapuso Network, director Mac Alejandre recently inked a four-year exclusive contract with the Kapatid Network.
The director, whose last project with GMA was Marian Rivera's "Amaya", said he accepted the offer because the station will give him security and growth, two important things in this move.

"I felt both network gave me security, pero pagdating dun sa growth factor, mas malaki ang chance ko to be able to do more and new things dito."
Aside from the offers, Alejandre is now the talent development consultant and creative consultant in the entertainment programming of the station.
"When they talked to me, they have plans. Maganda yung maayos yung latag talaga. I'm sure there are more things in store for me."
"Malinaw kasi sa akin yung paglipat ko sa TV5 eh, at yung mga kailangan kong gawin. Walang problema ngayon. Kung ano yung mga ginagawa ko sa kabilang network, upang mabigyan sila ng mga programang makakatulong sa network objectives, ganun din ang gagawin ko dito."
He also clarified that though he refused to accept the counter offer of GMA7, his former network will remain close to his heart, especially the people he met and worked with through the years.
"Hindi negative na umalis ako. Lahat ipinaliwanag ko sa kanila, I went through the proper process. Lahat ng decisions were done in a corporate manner."
"Lagi naman ang goodbye eh masakit, but they understand. They wanted me to stay, I wish I could pero hindi po. I have very, very good friends there, but you will realize na magkaibigan parin kayo, nagbago lang yung address."
Alejandre added that he will never burn bridges because he is in an industry where everyone runs in circles. (Sunnex)
