Shalani grateful to Willie

VALENZUELA Councilor and television host Shalani Soledad-Romulo said she is grateful to Willie Revillame and primetime variety show "Wil Time Bigtime" for the opportunity given to her.

Shalani, during the launching of TV5 programs for this year, refused to divulge details why she left "Wil Time Bigtime."

Reports are circulating that Shalani was sacked in the show because she cannot be paired to Willie anymore now that she's a married woman already.

Some reports also said she left the show because of her political plans for 2013.

However, Shalani did not confirm nor denied the reports.

She said there are just moments in someone's career when you have to move on and face the next chapter of life.

"I think in life, there are some things na when it hits you medyo malungkot. But then again, you also have to move on. You also have to be thankful for other opportunities that are being given to you," she said.

She said though there are a lot of things being said now, she's grateful to Willie, the show and everyone she worked with for the opportunity.

She said she has nothing against them and looking forward to working again with the staff and crew of the variety program.

"I think every show is an opportunity naman to be able to work, to be able to showcase what you can contribute and what you can also give to the viewers."

The politician-turned-tv personality will host the newest noontime show "Game 'n Go" with Edu Manzano, Arnel Ignacio, Gelli de Belen and Tuesday Vargas.

"Sana kung winelcome nila iyong 'Wil Time Bigtime, eh i-welcome din nila itong 'Game 'n Go", she said.

The new noontime variety show is expected to grace the boob tube in March. (Sunnex)
