COMEDIENNE Eugene Domingo said she dedicates her 6th Asian Film Awards Favorite Actress trophy to the Filipino people.
Less than a week after she was handed the coveted title in Hong Kong, Eugene was once again named as Best Actress in Musical or Comedy category in Saturday's 9th Golden Screen Awards.
In an interview, Eugene shared that when her name was called in the Asian festival as People's Choice, she felt like Manny Pacquiao bringing pride to the Philippines.

"Kung meron na pagkakataon that I felt proud being a Filipino, ito yung pagkakataon na andun ako sa entablado bilang representative ng Pilipinas," she said.
"Gusto kong maiuwi bilang pasalubong sa Pilipinas yung recognition na yun at ibinigay naman ng Panginoon. Kung nanalo man ako, nanalo tayong lahat," she added.
Domingo is hoping that with the award given to her and the Best Supporting Actress trophy given to Shamaine Buencamino, more opportunities will come to Filipino actors and filmmakers.
"It opened a door for the Filipinos, Chinese and other Asian countries na panahon na para mag collaborate, lumabas tayo at sumunod sa development ng filmmaking," she said.
When asked if there's already an offer for her to star opposite Andy Lau, the Asian Film Awards People's Choice Favorite Actor, in any international project, Eugene said she's still dreaming of it.
"Wag tayong masyadong umasa dun. Ako naman eh okay lang na Andy Lau was very, very playful. Game siya sa paglalaro sa stage. He's very charming," she said.
In the coming days, the comedienne will continue shooting the third installment of "Kimi Dora". She said her focus right now is with this movie. (Sunnex)
