ACTRESS Shaina Magdayao is gearing up for her most mature and daring role on television via the upcoming ABS-CBN afternoon soap "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo".

Shaina will star opposite Jake Cuenca, with whom she will share a good number of kissing and romantic scenes together.

She said the kissing scenes with Jake were done tastefully to establish the whole story.

"Kinailangan siya sa istorya, kailangan din na convincing siya, na may pananabik dun sa aming dalawa ni Jake."

"Hindi na dini-discuss yung mga yun. Nag-okay kami sa ganitong material at ready na kami. Kahit yung mga love scenes, kung kailangan talaga eh gagawin."

Shaina also clarified that she did not seek permission from boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz to do those scenes because they are both in the showbiz industry and they already understand the creative aspect of each project.

Shaina went to Qatar in January and stayed there for two weeks to immerse and shoot scenes for the series.

She said in this soap, they will try to capture the real life of overseas Filipino workers and the struggles they face from the nature of their work, new found friendship, their longing for their family and infidelity.

Directed by Manny Palo and Lino Cayetano, "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo" will hit the boob tube starting April 16 on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold. (Sunnex)
