Willie turning foundation into political group

TELEVISION host Willie Revillame is turning his “I Wil Serve Foundation” into a party-list group but won’t enter politics.
Lawyer Ferdie Domingo said they submitted all the requirements to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) last March 30 and are hoping to be approved as a party-list group just in time for the May 2013 elections.
He said if approved by the Comelec, “I Wil Serve” will advocate the rights of the urban poor, women, the elderly and even professionals as well.
He, however, clarified that though Revillame is a big player in the foundation, the television host will definitely not represent the party-list.
"He won't be running. He will just be the inspirational leader, the icon, but not necessarily the representative in Congress," Domingo said.
Jay Montelibano, program manager of "Wil Time Bigtime," also confirmed this in a text message. (Sunnex)
