Sam denies rumored romance with Derek

SAM Pinto admitted that she was irked by reports linking her to Derek Ramsay’s breakup with actress Angelica Panganiban.

Sam said she was surprised with the reports, adding she only worked with Ramsay once for an October fest commercial of San Miguel, which they both endorse.

Sam believes the issue started when she said she planned to spend her Holy Week in Australia.

"I was interviewed. Where will I go for the Holy Week? Then I said I might go to Australia, which I never did," she said.

Derek spent his Holy Week with friends in Australia, where he met Hollywood actor Zac Efron, whom he played golf with.

"I didn't meet Derek there because I was in the Philippines…That was the story, period. I never hang out with him," said Sam.

Sam also said she received a lot of tweets accusing her as the third party.

"Ang daming nag-bash sa akin because they were all assuming it was me. Everyone was like 'ikaw pala yung dahilan kaya nag-break sila ni Angelica’," she said.

"They (Derek and Angelica) never talked to me because in the first place, there's really nothing to talk about because nothing really happened," Sam added.

She also dismissed reports that she had a romantic relationship with "Pinoy Big Brother" co-housemate Paul Jake Castillo. She added that she’s not dating actor Aljur Abrenica as well.

“I'm very single and very happy. Aljur is like a brother. He's fun to be with.”
