ACTRESS Carla Abellana admitted it took her some time to decided whether to stay with her mother network, GMA-7, or take other networks’ offers.
“Napakaganda din ‘yung offer nung kabilang network and kailangan din namang i-consider. Mahirap lang din talagang tanggihan ‘yung offer ng iba (Other stations had good offers and I had to consider them. It was hard to say no to these offers),” she said during the press launch of GMA-7’s newest primetime series “Makapiling Kang Muli.”
Carla was reportedly planning to transfer to another network following actress Iza Calzado’s move to ABS-CBN. Carla was also reported to have received offers from TV5.
She, however, said, “Hindi naman talaga ako dumating sa point na ayaw ko na at lilipat na ako (It didn’t come to a point that I’ve given up and decided to transfer to another network). The whole time it was really GMA.”
In her new three-year exclusive contract with GMA-7, the actress will be doing three primetime soaps and three reality shows. She is set to replace Ogie Alcasid in singing search “Protégé.”
“Makapiling Kang Muli” is one of the three series she will be doing together with Richard Gutierrez, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Sarah Lahbati, TJ Trinidad, John Lapus, Phillip Salvador, Robert Arevalo, Rio Locsin, Mark Gil and Gloria Romero.
The new primetime series will premier starting June 4, after “Luna Blanca” on GMA-7. (Sunnex)
