HIT Korean action series “Runaway” is set to grace Philippine TV starting June 11 on TV5.

Topbilled by Asian Superstar Rain, the show combines action, suspense, drama and comedy all into one program.

The production team and Rain visited the country in 2010 to shoot some scenes in Manila and Cebu. The series also features Japan, Macau and Hong Kong.

The “Runaway” lead actor rose to fame after he worked as a backup dancer in South Korea. He got break when he launched his album in 2002 and starred in popular series “Full House.”

In 2006, Rain was recognized as one of TIME Magazine's “100 Most Influential People Who Shape Our World.” Two years later, he got his Hollywood break in the movie “Speed Racer.”

Joining Rain in the series are Lee Na Young, Lee Jung Jin, Daniel Henney and Yoon Son Han.

“Runaway” premieres on June 11 at 9:30 p.m. on Kapatid Network. (Sunnex)
