SINGER-Songwriter Ogie Alcasid said he is keen in entering politics.
Ogie has been very active the past years in different causes. He is also one of the staunch supporters of President Benigno Aquino III.
But the actor said his family is not into politics, adding that he prefers to continue his showbiz career.
“Masaya na ako dito sa showbiz at nakakatulong naman na ako sa mga ginagawa ko (I am happy with show business and I am able to help people with what I am doing),” he said.
The singer said even the President could not convince him to change his mind.
“Hindi ako marunong magpatakbo ng gobyerno and magulo ‘yan. eh. Hindi ako magiging masaya doon. Ako personally, hindi ako karapatdapat sa pulitika (I do not know how to run a government – that is such a chaotic world. I will not be happy there. Personally, I do not deserve politics),” he said.
He said he’d rather spend his time with his wife, Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez, and their son Nate.
Ogie said he declined numerous movie and television offers just to be able to spend time with his family. He said he even requested for a day-off to be with his wife and son. (Sunnex)
