Jennica-Alwyn relationship going strong

GMA-7 actress Jennica Garcia said she is happy with boyfriend and TV5 talent Alwyn Uytingco amid negative reactions from the public.

"Dun ko din nakita na pinaglaban din ako ni Alwyn kasi hindi siya natakot sa nanay ko, sa mga tao. Na hindi siya nagpaapekto (That time, I saw Alwyn really fighting for me – that he wasn’t afraid of my mom, of other people; that he didn’t let them affect him)," she said at the Kapuso Day event of GMA-7 in Laoag City.

Jennica said she understood her mother, actress Jean Garcia, from being protective against men wooing her, as her mom was there when she and Mark Escudero broke up.

"I can't blame my mom. She saw me when I was heartbroken and naiintndihan ko kung bakit nung una, eh, ayaw din niya (I understood why, at first, she did not favor my relationship with Alwyn)" she said.

When asked if Alwyn is the right man for her, Jennica only said she hopes she could spend a long and happy relationship with the actor.

"I see myself being with him forever sana. Hindi naman ako nakikipagrelasyon na hanggang three years lang diba. (I did not get into a relationship that would only last for three years)," she said. (Sunnex)
