COMEDY King Dolphy's health is improving, his sons Eric and Ronnie Quizon said.
In a television interview, Ronnie said his dad is doing well and is getting back in shape.
"Nag-joke ako dun sa loob ng ICU (intensive care unit) na medyo bastos then tumawa si Zsa Zsa (Dolphy's partner), tumawa ‘yung nurse. My dad was like tumatawa siya pero hindi malakas (I was making a green joke while we were inside the ICU then Zsa Zsa and the nurse laughed. My dad was like laughing too but not that loud)," he said.
Dolphy was rushed to a hospital Saturday after he felt weak because of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
According to Ronnie, the whole family is hands down to their father's determination to get better.
"I've never seen a man with so much will, power. ‘Yung will niya to live. I think he really enjoys life, eh," he said.
Meanwhile, director Eric said his father is already breathing on his own and doesn't need any ventilators.
"Tinaggal na siya doon sa machine, ‘yung tinatawag na meg ventilator, ‘yung nagpa-pump ng oxygen sa katawan niya, sa system niya (The meg ventilator that pumps oxygen inside his body was already removed)," Eric said.
The family is thankful to all the prayers, support and love for their father.
"I sincerely believe the prayers help," Ronnie said. (Sunnex)
