Thursday, June 21, 2012
ACTOR Marvin Agustin inked a two-year non-exclusive contract with TV5.
This was personally disclosed by the actor during a brief interview at the audition of TV5’s new show “Artista Academy” at the Araneta Coliseum.
He said things are still being finalized but admitted that he is expected to do a teleserye after hosting the reality talent search with producer-director Cesar Montano.
Marvin and Cesar are thrilled to be part of the biggest “artista” search in the country and are looking forward to inspire aspiring artists.
When asked what's different with “Artista Academy,” Marvin said the viewers will be able to see not just the usual performances of the final 16, but cameras will also follow them after a long day of activities and events.
“Susundan sila hanggang sa kanilang mga bahay. Masusubaybayan ng mga viewers kung anong nangyayari sa kanila (Cameras will follow them even at their homes),” he said.
At the end of the day, one Best Actor and one Best Actress will be named from over 11,000 auditionees. The winners will get a total of P20 million, a full scholarship grant to the Asian Academy of Television Arts headed by Wilma Galvante and his/her own show.
Marvin said those who will be picked in the final 16 spot should give their best in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“Kami noon, ni-launch kami bilang artista agad; ito kailangan mo pang mag-undergo sa maraming workshops (In our case, we were just launched as artists right away; this one, they still have to undergo several workshops). They must give their best,” the award-winning actor said. (Sunnex)
