Rommel Padilla talks about son's closeness to Kathryn

ACTOR Rommel Padilla said he hasn’t met Kathryn Bernardo in person but based on his son’s stories, Kathryn is a very nice girl.
Kathryn is the leading lady of Rommel’s son Daniel Padilla. When asked to comment on reports that Daniel is in love with Kathryn, he said, "Sabi niya (Daniel) chill lang daw muna."
But he added that Kathryn is special for his son. "One time kasi sinabihan ko si Daniel na dadalawin ko siya sa set. Sabi niya sa akin 'Sige Pa, dalhan mo ako ng pizza'. Sabi ko anong gusto mo? 'Ang sabi sa akin eh 'sandali lang pa, tatanungin ko lang si Kathryn."
Rommel also said that with the new generation of Padilla's, they want to clear out the "playboy" image.
He constantly reminded Daniel to be very careful with his action in front of the camera and outside the showbiz world.
"Naging leading man din ako kaya alam ko yung feeling na pag andyan yung leading lady mo, eh talagang dapat inaalagaan."
He is also proud of his son's success – from consecutive television projects to sold-out albums.
Rommel is returning on boob tube with Xiajian Jaranilla and Carmina Villarroel's new series "Lorenzo's Time," which will premier starting July 2 on the Kapamilya network.
