Christian happy with career, love life

INTERNATIONAL singer Christian Bautista said he is happy with his blooming career and love life.

The "Kitchen Musical" lead actor is in a relationship with Romanian-Chinese beauty Carla Dunareanu for four months now.

She's currently in Manila trying her luck in the local entertainment scene and is hosting a radio program in Magic 89.9 Monday to Thursday at 9 a.m.

"It was her choice (to stay here). She said I want to try in the Philippines. The initial idea was for her to stay for three months, then dun sa last month nagustuhan siya ng Magic 89.9, she had a commercial din and may contract signing na agad," Christian said of her girlfriend.

Christian said Carla, who grew up in Germany, loves the Philippines so much. She's also learning the language and taking up formal Tagalog trainings.

He said he loves her being "thoughtful, sweet and understanding."

Although she's in the county, the singer clarified that they are not living together. She has her own residence and they would see each other like normal couples. He would visit her and share cozy dinners.

"I'm trying to be a good guy. Pwede naman talaga pero we want to respect the tradition natin (We want to respect our Filipino tradition)," he said.

He said both of them are not yet ready for marriage.

"Wala pa talaga. Step by step. Ayokong magbigay ng year because if you know, you know. Sa ngayon hindi pa talaga (We have not yet set a date. We are not yet ready)," he said.

Christian said their main focus is their respective careers and they don't want to waste all the opportunities given to them.

"Ang sabi ko naman sa kanya, I don't want to rush it. I want to be progressive, hindi naman din yung I just want to have fun and tingnan na lang natin. Hindi ganon," he said.

Christian said he is noticeably glowing and more happy now. He said it is because of the continuous support of the audience in her showbiz run and he is sharing it with the one he loves.

"Iba din pala pag nag-antay ka for the right one. They all like her, she's really bubbly. Okay kaming dalawa. I'm very happy now," he ended. (Sunnex)
