ZANJOE Marudo feels more comfortable to do drama than comedy, saying doing comedy is not as easy as what people think.
"Mahirap talaga magpatawa. Yung iba, iniisip na mahirap mag-drama, pero para sa akin mas challenging yung comedy (To do comedy is not easy. Others thinks drama roles are tough. For me, comedy is more challenging)," he said.
Zanjoe is part of the hit gag show "Banana Split" and blockbuster comedy movie "Kimi Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme," which stars actress Eugene Domingo.
He said that in the movie he felt less pressure from the production crew and co-actors because Eugene was easy to work with. They get along well on and off the camera, he added.
"Pag komportable ka kasi sa mga kasama mo, mas natural yung pag-arte (You act naturally when you are comfortable with your co-actors)," he said.
Zanjoe added that his comeback in "Banana Split" made him closer to his co-hosts John Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Gainza, Pooh and the rest of the gang. He said: "Ang saya lagi sa set."
Meanwhile, the actor is also doing "Hiyas" opposite Megan Young, Mercedes Cabral and Edward Mendez, which is being shown daily on the ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold block. (Sunnex)
