Danica Sotto speaks about parents' new relationships

ACTRESS Danica Sotto-Pingris finally broke her silence over reports that her father, Vic Sotto, is dating young actress and Eat Bulaga co-host Pauleen Luna.

Rumors on Vic and Pauleen dating together have been circulating for months now. The two neither confirm nor deny the issue.

But Danica said in a "StarTalk TX" interview that she never advised her father regarding his love life, adding she supports whatever would make him happy.

"Kung saan masaya si Dad, I'll be happy for him. Pinagpi-pray ko na if will ni God, makahanap talaga siya ng someone na aalagaan niya at aalagaan din siya. Yung for keeps, yung panghabang buhay," she said.

"Siya ang makakasagot niya (mga issue), it's up for my Dad. Hindi ko naman binigyan ng advice at may tiwala naman ako sa kanya. He knows what he's doing, basta importante eh okay kami," she added.

Danica also defended her younger brother Oyo on rumors that he does not want Pauleen for their father.

She said Oyo’s statement was sensationalized.

"I think sila ni Daddy yung nag-usap. Wala naman talagang nangyaring masama, exaggerated lang ang mga bali-balita. Pati si Tin (Kristine Hermosa, actress and Oyo's wife) nadamay, na super bait at wala naman siyang sinasabi," she said.

She is praying that things will turn out right for Vic.

Danica is also happy for mother Dina Bonnevie, who found a new love again.

Dina married Ilocos Sur Vice-Governor DV Savellano a couple of months ago.

Danica said they were also worried at first, especially Oyo, who is very protective of their mother, but when they saw that she is happy, they gave Dina their blessing.

"Nung una, normal lang naman na kabahan ka kasi kasal yun. Pero nung nakita ko naman na happy siya, na mabait naman si Tito nakampante na din loob ko," she ended. (Sunnex)
