Robin: Honeymoon phase not over yet

ROBIN Padilla said he is not ready yet to have kids with new wife Mariel Rodriguez as their honeymoon phase is not over yet.

The actor said he wants to enjoy his alone time with Mariel, something that he wasn't able to do in his past relationship.

"Hindi ko kasi na-enjoy yung buhay ko. Namulat ako na may anak na agad. Hindi ko na-enjoy yung may kasama ka na walang maliliit na iniisip (I wasn't able to enjoy myself because I immediately became a father)," he said, adding that not having kids with Mariel yet, they can travel anywhere, anytime.

He admitted that Mariel started asking him questions when they are going to have their first child. He said he was straight forward with his answers and told Mariel that he wanted to enjoy the relationship first and to have her for himself.

Robin added that when a baby comes into a couple's life, everything changes. Their priority shifts and it would take a lot of their time.

"Pag nagkaroon ng anak yun, hindi na ako papansinin nun," he jokingly said.

The actor is now filming his upcoming primetime series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," which he will topbill opposite Anne Curtis and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
