John Estrada is adjusting to fatherhood

JOHN Estrada said he is slowly adjusting to fatherhood after his second wife, Priscilla Meirelles, gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

After 13 years, John became a father again when they welcome Sammanta Anechka in February of this year. "Medyo nangangapa pa ng konti pero adjusted na rin ako kasi five months na din naman siya (I'm still adjusting to it)," he said.

John said both baby and mommy are doing great and his kids with former partner Janice de Belen are very close to their baby sister.

Asked how he manages to have a close bond with his three daughters and son with Janice despite the fall of their marriage, the actor said he is very lucky to have intelligent and understanding children.

"It's a state of mind kung paano mo i-train ang mga anak mo, paano ipapaliwanag sa kanila. Ang swerte namin kasi biniyayaan kami ng understanding na mga anak. Naiintindihan nila," he said.

Aside from taking care of his kids, John will also be working opposite Connie Reyes, Sam Milby and Judy Ann Santos in the new primetime series "Against All Odds."

The said ABS-CBN program is expected to air next month. (Sunnex)
