Iya mum on reported engagement to Drew

TELEVISION host Iya Villania remained mum on reports that she's engaged to her long-time boyfriend Drew Arellano.

"Pag may nakita na kayong singsing at hindi ko na pwedeng ma-deny, yun na yun (If you see a ring in one of my fingers, I won't deny it)," she said.

Drew and Iya have been together for more than eight years now. They managed to keep the relationship strong even though they both work in the entertainment business.

Iya said they have plans on when to settle down and the family life they both want to share in the future, but no exact date yet on when all these things are going to happen.

"May mga plan naman kami (We have a plan). Drew and I are super, super happy. Things can get better but for the two of us," she said.

Iya jokingly said that some people might think they are not serious with the relationship.

"Minsan nga we look at different things and siguro yung ibang tao eh tingin nila joke na lang itong relationship natin. Bakit kaya yung dalawang ito ang tagal na di parin nagpapakasal (Other people thinks that we are just playing around)," she added.

The ABS-CBN actress said they are very happy, contented and looking forward to more years with each other.

Iya said she still feels giddy when Drew surprises her with small stuff and that she's very easy to please. The TV host said that her boyfriend knows what makes her happy.

"Sobra siyang practical na tao. Yung ibang babae na-spoil sila sa mga branded bags, clothes and shoes, ako na-spoil ako sa unan, sporty attires, stuff he knows I can use. He cooks for me, ultimo yung grocery lang, yung mga granola bars, kinikilig na ako," she said.

When asked what sets her relationship with Drew apart from other showbiz unions, Iya believes both their family's conservative upbringing affected how they take each moment one step at a time.

"I'm sure it is a different case with them, but what I find a lot of people do today is they rush on things. We really take the time to know each other," she said. (Sunnex)
