Angel Aquino hosts 'Interior Motives'

ANGEL Aquino joins the Lifestyle Network family as she take the helm of the new decorative show "Interior Motives".
Her first solo hosting gig, Angel said the new program delved into anything and everything about the world of interior design.
Professional interior designers will be featured every week, showcasing their works as well as providing knowledge, tips and tricks in tidying one’s space. Each designer will focus on specific locations in the home, such as featuring and comparing bedrooms or bathrooms only.
"What I would like the audience to feel is inspired on what they see and work more for what they want and have more beautiful things around them. You learn how to perfectly accessorize your place, not overdoing it, and picking the right colors."
Although she doesn't have any formal training in design, Angel takes this new job as a challenge and as a curious onlooker. She read-up on a lot of interior design and architectural magazines and materials.
"In the beginning I didn't think they were serious. When they came up to me and said Interior Motives, I was quite unsure if they wanted me because I didn't know anything about interiors, but then I realized I'm someone who appreciates beautiful things. That's the strength I can give the show. I love interiors, I love talking to people who inspire others," she said.
"I don't have a background on interior designing; this is some kind of a treat for me because the show is giving me ideas and slowly, I’m able to piece my own dream home. The show is very informative, it’s like I’m one of the viewers," she added.
The television host said that everyone will enjoy the program as all interior design jargons will be explained after every segment.
In its pilot episode, Angel visited the women behind Atelier Almario, Cynthia and Ivy. They are two of the top designer names in the country and did the lobby of Midas Hotel.
"Interior Motives" premiers this Saturday, August 4 at 7 p.m. on the Lifestyle Network (SkyCable channel 52). (Sunnex)
