Luis told to take a rest from work

AFTER he was rushed again to the hospital Tuesday last week, television host Luis Manzano was advised by his doctors to take some rest for a week or two.

Luis wasn't able to attend the grand premier of her mother, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos' movie "The Healing" because his fever reached 38.9 degrees Celsius and spiked up to 39.4.

He was hospitalized due to over fatigue and viral infection.

"Basically, sa hyper reactive lungs or acquired asthma," Luis said in a television interview.

"When I work, I really work. Nagkataon din kasi last week na galing ako ng Bacolod nun for Annebisyosa. Mula Saturday afternoon hanggang Sarah G. Live, hindi na ako nakatulog at all."

The television host added: "Kahit one minute na tulog, wala na. Sobra yung stress sa katawan and everyone's sick. Everyone around ABS-CBN eh may sipon, may ubo, may lagnat. Nagkataon na nahawa ako."

This is the second time Luis was rushed to the hospital recently.

"I really need to rest for a week or two. Wala talagang gagawing heavy or ma-exposed sa maraming tao. I need to appreciate my health more," he said.

Luis said his parents, Vilma and Edu Manzano, and girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado take turns in taking care of him at the hospital. (Sunnex)
