ALDEN Richards still can't believe the overwhelming support of the fans to him and his on-screen love interest Louise delos Reyes.

"One True Love," the primetime series topbilled by Alden and Louise, is extended for another five weeks due to its success and good rating.

Interviewed at the sidelines of the Kapuso Night show in Legazpi City, Albay, over the weekend, Alden said he never expected the overwhelming support and good feedback from the network and fans.

"My expectation was ma-fulfill lang namin yung eight weeks. Kahit hindi mataas na rating, basta good numbers. Maging okay lang din yung performance namin sa soap," he said.

The actor said he's blessed to have experience all the opportunities given to him by the network.

The actor knows television viewers are not easily impressed with what they see on television, so he's always learning and reinventing himself on and off-screen.

"Looking back to all the projects that I've done, parang ang bilis parin for a beginner. I need to do better and I need to find ways to always reinvent myself," he said.

Alden said he is thankful that he was chosen to be part of "Tween Hearts" movie because it helped him gain more popularity and recall to the audience.

"I think it was a good build up for the tweens stars na nagsimula sa movie. Then pinaghiwa-hiwalay kami and we began to create our own identities. From that group, narecognize kami," he said.

He also recognizes "Alakdana" and "My Beloved" that help him and Louise work their chemistry and rapport in small and big screens.

"Mas lumalim ngayon (yung closeness namin ni Louise). Minsan may petty misunderstanding, pero titigan lang namin yung isa't isa eh alam namin ito, okay na kami. But during "One True Love," mas nakilala namin yung isa't isa," he added.

During off taping days for "One True Love," Alden attends acting, dancing and hosting workshops being handled by GMA Artist Center. He said he wants to attend all the workshops to continue learning the ropes of showbiz.

"Acting has been my passion since I started show business. Masarap maging actor," he said, adding that he wanted to stay long in the industry.

"One True Love" is directed by Andoy Ranay and also stars Caridad Sanchez, Benjie Paras, Tiya Pusit, Wynwyn Marquez, Lucho Ayala, Rita Iringan, Franchesca Farr, Bembol Roco, Jean Garcia, Raymond Bagatsing, and Agot Isidro. (Sunnex)
