MODEL-turned-actor Mikael Daez avoids talking about his personal life especially the rumors linking him to ABS-CBN star Megan Young.

Recently, micro-bloging site Twitter and entertainment blogs have been abuzz with news that he and Megan are going on a date. However, the duo is silent about the matter.

Sun.Star tried to ask Mikael about it during the Kapuso weekend trip in Bicol, but the actor diverted the conversation to his upcoming show.

When asked about his dating life, Mikael jokingly said that he's trying to get to know Andrea Torre, his leading lady in the new afternoon soap "Sana Ay Ikaw na Nga."

"For me to be able to perform well, kailangan talaga na maganda yung chemistry namin ni Andrea. So that's really what I'm working right now," he said.

"Right now my focus really is the soap. Honestly speaking, I really have to respect the opportunity given to me by GMA," he added.

Mikael said his main priority now is acting and he's not keen to discuss his romantic life.

"Regardless of the rumors that go around, that is part of our work, I really have to show the network na hindi yun ang trabaho ko, yung pag-aasikaso sa mga issue at intriga. Yung trabaho ko is to perform for them," he added. (Sunnex)
