Andrea Torres gets her biggest break in GMA-7

ANDREA Torres vows to give her 100 percent attention, dedication and acting prowess in the newest Kapuso afternoon series "Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga."

She said she's been waiting for a big break since she started showbiz at the age of 15.

"Very grateful ako kasi ang tagal ko ding nag-antay. Ang daming nagsasabi na baguhan pa lang daw ako, pero hindi matalagal na ako talaga. Hindi lang nila ako napapansin at hindi lang risky yung mga roles ko," she said.

Andrea started in ABS-CBN's reality show "Cupids" and also did a number of guestings in "ASAP" and "Maalaala Mo Kaya".

But her career flourished when she moved to GMA-7.

Andrea's first showbiz stint with the network is news and current events program "Ka-Blog" before finally moving to the entertainment group.

The actress was part of "Blusang Itim" and "My Beloved," where she was paired with model-turned-actor Mikael Daez.

Andrea said she and Mikael have good rapport off screen and they wanted to bring this connection on-screen.

"Nakikita ko naman na maganda yung rapport namin and kung ano yung closeness namin ngayon eh nagre-reflect [talaga siya on-screen] kaya kahit hindi na namin pilitin," she said.

When asked if there's a chance that their closeness will end up in a romantic bond, Andrea said their focus now is work and nothing else.

"Lagi naman andun yung posibility pero ayokong unahan kasi baka mailangan kami. Gusto ko one step at a time, yung chemistry muna namin kaya kinikilala ko parin din siya," she said, adding that Mikael as a responsible person off screen. (Sunnex)
