Gerald, Kim to star in upcoming film

FORMER love teams Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu are set to reunite in an upcoming Star Cinema movie.

Gerald said new flick will be part of the 20th year anniversary treat of Star Magic, the talent arm of ABS-CBN, to its loyal supporters and moviegoers.

"Hindi pa kami nag-shoot pero nakaka-excite kasi makakasama ko ulit siya. May short story kami dun," Gerald said.

Joining the Kapamilya stars in the movie are Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Maja Salvador, Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Xyriel Manabat, Zaijian Jaranilla, Pokwang and Piolo Pascual.

Although they were paired with different actors, Kim with co-star Xian Lim while Gerald with Jessy Mendiola, the actor believes that the ever loyal "Kimeralds" will still be there to support them.

"Feeling ko hindi talaga nawala yun eh kahit matagal kaming hindi nagkasama. I think [also the chemistry] is still there," he said.

Aside from the movie, Gerald will star in a new primetime series with Cristine Reyes.

Meanwhile, during the annual Star Magic ball last Saturday, Gerald came just by himself. No date was spotted with the actor and said he preferred to walk the red carpet alone and spend the party with friends.

Kim on the other hand, came escorted by Xian.

When Gerald was asked if he invited rumored close friend, Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo to be his date on the event, the actor just smiled and said: "Hindi po. Okay kami. We're friends." (Sunnex)
