ACTOR Cesar Montano said his son with Teresa Loyzaga, Diego, is still in Manila and busy with his studies.
After doing "Mara Clara" in 2011 and "Growing Up" early this year, Diego's showbiz career took a backseat because his studies.
Diego is currently a senior high school at the OB Montessori in Greenhills, San Juan City.
Cesar said it was his son's decision to focus on his studies.
The actor admitted that he was initially against Diego's plan to enter showbiz but since Teresa who is now based in Australia supported their son's move, Cesar said he eventually relented.
Cesar said he wanted Diego to finish his studies first before getting serious with showbiz. He said he advises Diego to improve his Tagalog while in school.
"Kapag magaling na siyang magtagalog, mas magiging effective siya sa industriya [If he is good in Tagalog, he will become effective in the showbiz," he said.
Cesar said he doesn't regret his son's decision to join the entertainment industry but the actor believes education is important in an individual and it would eventually help him survive in the business.
Meanwhile, Cesar shared that his daughters with Sunshine Cruz are very talented and are inborn artists. He said his daughters sing, dance, act, paint, play the piano and, in an early age, could compose songs.
"Ngayon they are too young. But I can imagine, I could see them na papasok (sila sa showbiz) at hindi ko sila mapipigilan. Kasi magagaling kumanta at magaganda," he said.
"Madaming babantayan," Cesar jokingly said. "Ayokong ma-imagine yung sarili ko na stage father." (Sunnex)
