CEBUANO actor Enrique Gil said he wanted to have a career in showbiz similar to that of Box-Office King John Lloyd Cruz.
After releasing "The Reunion" in August, "Amorosa" this month and topbilling "Princess and I" weeknights on ABS-CBN, Enrique proved to be one of the in-demand young actors of his generation.
Enrique said he is thankful that his mother network appreciates his effort and acting style. He, in return, promises not to disappoint his followers.
"It feels great and pressured din because I need to fulfill their expectations. Double time din yung work," he said.
Enrique said he wants to follow the footsteps of John Lloyd, who is behind hit movies "Miss You Like Crazy," "You Changed My Life," "A Very Special Love," "Dubai," "In My Life," and "One More Chance."
John Lloyd has also done "Tabing Ilog," "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," "It Might Be You," "Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin," "Maging Sino Ka Man," and "Imortal".
"Yung body of works niya is really very nice. Hindi naman masarap mangarap diba? He's also very professional," Enrique said.
When asked if there's any particular actress he's keen to work with, Enrique said he's game with anybody and there are a lot of good, able and credible names in the Kapamilya Network.
Meanwhile, the actor encourages the viewers to watch "Princess and I" daily because the show is nearing its final chapter.
"We are verging on the finale, so yung mga eksena eh mas thrilling. Mas kaabang-abang," he said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
