Jake keen to do a movie with Shaina

ACTOR Jake Cuenca wishes to do a big screen project with Shaina Magdayao, his leading lady in the afternoon soap "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo."

After their chemistry is tested on television, Jake said it is a logical step for the two of them to bring their partnership in the big screen.

Jake said they work well together and they know each other's capabilities and acting style.

"Pangarap ko sa amin ni Shaina yan [to make a movie] very soon. I'm very proud of our tandem and I'm very proud of 'Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo.' Hopefully, (there's a) Star Cinema (movie)."

Jake also said he appreciates the viewers' continuous support in the afternoon series and his primetime series "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" with Andy Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, and Gabby Concepcion.

"Gusto kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng tao for making both shows very successful and sana tuloy tuloy parin yung support nila," he said.

Jake promised the audience that he will do his best in the two series.

"On my side, I just want to keep doing my best and portray different roles. It is hard but I love working with two different directors. They demand different things from me," he said.

Now that he's very busy with his showbiz career, Jake revealed he's taking Sundays as his only rest day.

The actor wants to spend it with close friends and his family. Aside from that, he's also going to the gym every day to ready himself for the upcoming Bench Fashion Show. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
