Vhong, Lovi to star in horror film

NOONTIME show host Vhong Navarro and actress Lovi Poe will work opposite each other in the 14th installment of horror flick "Shake, Rattle and Roll."

Produced by Regal Films, the said movie will be the first project of Vhong and Lovi together. Vhong said he's excited to share the big screen with the actress.

"Bumilib ako kasi napakabait. Nung first time naming magkita sa airport, eh wow, siya pa yung unang lumapit para mag hello," the "It's Showtime" host said in a television interview.

The horror film is also a fulfilment of a long time dream for Vhong.

"Nakalakihan ko ang 'Shake, Rattle and Roll'. Nasimulan ko sa I, hanggang sa ito na nga eh ika-14th, na finally makakasama ako," he said.

Lovi, on the other hand, expects fun and laughter while shooting the horror flick as she will be working with the comedian.

"Excited na ako kasi dito pa nga lang sa story conference ay nakakatawa na siya, what more pa kaya sa set," she said.

Hailed as the new "horror queen," Lovi is grateful for all the support of the viewing public and Regal Entertainment.

"I'm very thankful naman because when I started here in this business, si Mother (Lily Monteverde) talaga yung isa sa mga unang nagtiwala sa akin. Marami ding tao na, let's face it, nag try akong i-put down," she added.

Also part of the movie are Carlo Aquino, Albie Casiño and Ariel Ureta.

Aside from "Shake, Rattle and Roll 14," Lovi topbilled "Guni-Guni" and is set to launch the new horror flick "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" with leading man Dingdong Dantes in October. (Sunnex)
