'Dolphy Alay Tawa' tv airing set for September 30

THE three giant television networks in the country reunite this month as they pay tribute to the late Dolphy through the simultaneous airing of "Dolphy Alay Tawa: A Musical Tribute to the King of Comedy".
Held last September 19 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the event was led by the Quizon children Dolphy Jr., Edgar, Eric, Jeffrey, Rolly, Ronnie, Sally, Vandolph, Zia, and Dolphy Sr.'s life partner, Zsa Zsa Padilla.
The event will be simultaneously shown on ABS-CBN 2, GMA 7 and TV5 starting at 10:30 p.m. on September 30.
The occasion was the biggest gathering of local stars to date.
Artists from the three tv networks worked together to commemorate and recognize the contributions of the late Comedy King in showbiz.
Musical giants Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano graced the event together with Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto.
The night was also attended by Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and Superstar Nora Aunor.
Edu Manzano, Christopher de Leon, Lorna Tolentino, John Estrada, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Roderick Paulate, Jolina Magdangal and Judy Ann Santos were also part of the program.
Daisy Romualdez, Eddie Garcia, Eddie Gutierrez, German Moreno, Gloria Romero, Nova Villa, Rosa Rosal, and Susan Roces also had a special appearance in the musical tribute.
ABS-CBN, meanwhile, tapped Angeline Quinto, Gerald Anderson, Iya Villania, Jericho Rosales, Jhong Hilario, Luis Manzano, Melai Cantiveros, Nikki Gil, Shaina Magdayao, and Vhong Navarro to perform in the show.
TV5 came with primetime stars Alex Gonzaga, Arci Muñoz, Daniel Matsunaga, Danita Paner, Edgar Allan Guzman, Eula Caballero, JC de Vera, Martin Escudero, Ritz Azul, Ruffa Gutierrez, Derek Ramsay and Ryan Agoncillo.
Kapuso stars Aljur Abrenica, Dennis Trillo, Enzo Pineda, Heart Evangelista, Kempee de Leon, Mark Herras, Michael V., Pauleen Luna, Rachelle Ann Go, Raymond Gutierrez, Rocco Nacino, Ruby Rodriguez, and Marian Rivera also performed onstage.
The two and a half hours tribute is directed by Al Quinn and Bibeth Orteza. (Sunnex)
