Derek has no time to date

DEREK Ramsay said he is now single and he doesn't go out on dates due to lack of time.

"I don't have time to go out. I go from my bed to the set. I'm really working hard. I'm just very, very happy with my life," he said.

Derek, who will be part of "Amazing Race Philippines," said he spends his free time playing Frisbee with friends.

The actor also revealed that he doesn't want to have another high-profile relationship after his failed romance with Angelica Panganiban.

"It's hard. Angel and I found it hard. For me, I will keep it private with what I do with my family," he said in a television interview.

Derek and Angelica ended their six-year relationship but remained silent on the reason for the break-up. The ex-couples said they are still friends.

Meanwhile, the actor denied that he is seeing former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez but he admitted that they are good friends.

"She's a beautiful woman, well educated and she has the qualifications of a great girlfriend but we are not together. We are not dating," he said.

Ruffa is a former girlfriend of actor John Lloyd Cruz, who is now reportedly dating Derek's ex-girlfriend, Angelica. (Sunnex)
