Ruffa is happy being single

ELEVEN months after actress Ruffa Gutierrez put herself on a self-imposed dating sabbatical, the actress said she's still very much single and happy with her personal life.
"I'm so happy being single. I have no wrinkles, I have no stress, I can do what I want and I'm only answerable to myself, God and my children," she said.
The actress said she enjoyed 11 months of focusing her time to herself, her kids, family and career.
She added that even after her November 2012 deadline, she's keen to stay single and she's not looking for someone special.
"You don't look for that, they just come. Whoever God will have in my life, let's see. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali. I'm not a desperate woman that needs a man in his life," Ruffa said.
The actress, meantime, clarified the news linking her to another TV5 talent, Derek Ramsay.
Ruffa said she was introduced to Derek during the TV5 International launch in the US and they met once a couple of months ago in Europe.
She said that it wasn't a date because they were with 20 other people and the meeting lasted for only 30 minutes.
"Nothing happened. He's my invisible lover. We never held hands, we never went on date and we hardly text. Hindi kami nagkikita," she said.
Ruffa believed that the gossip was fuelled by the blooming romance of her ex-boyfriend, John Lloyd Cruz, with Derek's former girlfriend, Angelica Panganiban.
"I think na-excite lang sila kasi parang nagpalitan ng partners, pero wala talaga," she said.
But will Derek fit the bill? Ruffa said she doesn't see herself being more than friends with the actor.
She already list down all the qualities she's looking for in a guy. Aside from the usual tall, dark and handsome, the actress is looking for someone who could love her children and support her career.
"He has to love my kids, he has integrity, leadership qualities. Hindi ko iniisip what his job may be, I just hope he should have a job at the very least, he must be self-supporting, and a Catholic," said Ruffa, adding that age doesn't matter to her.
The actress is currently busy with "Enchanted Garden" and an upcoming movie she did with GMA-7 talents. (Sunnex)
