THE much-anticipated movie of Filipina actress Erich Gonzales and Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer is set to grace the big screen this October 31.
Led by movie and television director Rory B. Quintos, the film was shot in Ilocos, Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand.
Quintos has nothing but good words on the performances of her actors. She said Erich and Mario have on-screen chemistry since day one.
"First sequence, first shot, right away kitang-kita yung chemistry. When I had a story conference for both of them, I already saw that there was good chemistry. Bagay na bagay sila. They looked so good together," she said.
She added that Mario not only registers as a pretty face on the silver screen, but also has a very kind heart behind the camera. The director also pointed out the big difference in Erich's acting work in this movie.
"Erich is very young and a very good actress. Marami pa siyang magagawa in the future, I have no doubts that in the future she will bring awards at ang layo-layo pa ng mararating niya sa buhay," the director said.
The actress and the multi-awarded director used to work together in the now defunct afternoon series "Maria la del Barrio". The said soap aired for almost a year.
Quintos said many will be touched by the storyline of her latest movie, as it will teach the viewers the meaning of unconditional love.
"It's about learning how to let go and set free of the person you love so that he or she could fulfil his or her greatest potential," she said.
Produced by Star Cinema, "Suddenly It's Magic" opens October 31. (Sunnex)
