Ara Mina ready to settle down

ACTRESS Ara Mina said she's now in the right age to start her own family.

Ara is currently in a relationship with Bulacan mayor Patrick Meneses.

She said they have already discussed plans about getting married but the actress decided to keep mum on the topic.

"I want to settle down and have my own family. Napaguusapan naman ang mga bagay-bagay. I'm not getting any younger, yung mga kasabayan ko malalaki na yung mga anak nila," she said.

The actress jokingly added that she's practicing now in the newest Kapuso series "Yesterday's Bride" because she will play the role of Rocco Nacino's mother in the soap.

Ara said she's very happy with her romantic life and things are exactly where they're supposed to be. "Happy ako. Pag masaya ka, wala ka ng masasabing iba."

Meanwhile, the actress was asked on issue involving Patrick and his former girlfriend, actress Aiko Melendez.

Ara said whatever issue she had with Aiko, it was already a close chapter of her life and she doesn't want to be dragged in a conflict between her boyfriend and Aiko.

"Matagal nang settled yung sa amin. Yung kay Jom (Jomari Yllana), closed book na yun," she said. "Kung meron mang problema, sina Patrick na yun at si Aiko. Dapat hindi na ako kasali diyan, labas na ako dun. Kasi problema na nila yun. Hindi naman ako ang nagdemanda sa kanya."

Patrick earlier filed libel cases against Aiko but the case was already dropped by the prosecutor's office.

Aside from being Patrick's ex-girlfriend, Aiko used to be Jomari Yllana's ex-wife, who Ara shared a long-term relationship with in the past.

When asked what her wish is for Aiko, the actress only said: "I wish her happiness." (Sunnex)
