Vice, Toni flick reach P200 million mark-A A +A

STAR Cinema's hit comedy movie "This Guy's in Love With U Mare" has reached the P200 million mark in the local box office since it opened in theatres two weeks ago.
Topbilled by television hosts Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and comedian Vice Ganda, the flick was received warmly by the moviegoers since day one.
Movie director Wenn Deramas said he is thankful to those who watched the supported his actors.
"Maraming salamat sa lahat. Masayang-masaya kami dahil over yung suporta ng tao sa movie namin bawat araw. Sobra kaming nag-enjoy noong ginagawa namin ito at talagang nagreflect naman ito sa pelikula pati sa mga manonood," he said.
For more than two weeks now, "This Guy's in Love With U Mara" is getting long line in cinemas.
Multimedia star Toni said she's proud of the project because it's her first time to topbill in a movie which is supported by many and is getting great returns on the box-office ranking.
The said project is her first movie project with Vice and Luis.
For the "Deal or No Deal" host, he will never forget the weeks they worked for the flick. He personally witnessed great talent from Vice and Toni.
"Noong sinimulan namin ang 'This Guy's In Love With You, Mare,' kaibigan lang ako nina Toni at Vice. But we ended this movie na naging fan ako nina Toni at Vice," Luis said.
He said he is also very proud of the opportunity to have worked again with Vice for the third time. Luis is still open to doing more movie projects with the comedian in the near future.
Meanwhile Vice, who was claiming this success as early as the promotional press conference of the movie, is thankful to God for the answered prayers.
"Alam ko kasing napunta ako sa mahusay na team kaya alam kong magiging maganda ang kalalabasan ng pelikula naming," he said.
He added that this is one project where he didn't feel working at all. He's at ease with his co-stars and did enjoy filming the movie.
After "This Guy's in Love With U Mare," Star Cinema presents Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales movie "Suddenly It's Magic," which opens October 31 in theaters nationwide.
The said flick is directed by Rory B. Quintos. (Sunnex)
