Regine allows son to enter showbiz

ASIA'S Songbird and actress Regine Velasquez doesn't mind if her son decides to enter showbizness.

This early, her son Nate already has numerous endorsements, but according to Regine, it's also her frustration as a mother to see her child on the television screen.

Regine said she will support him if he wants to enter the industry but studies should still be a priority.

"As much as possible, sana mag-aral muna siya. Hangga't kaya kong kontrolin yung life niya, hangga't bata (gagawin ko). Pag nagkaroon na yan ng sariling diskarte sa buhay, ma-realize niya na kaya niya, bahala na siya sa gusto niyang gawin," she said in a Startalk interview.

The singer also revealed that she's keen to put up a savings account for her son whom he can use for education and other interests.

"Gusto kong mag-ipon ng money para sa kanya na hindi for education, na pwede niyang kunin. Para balang araw, kung gusto niyang maging architect, chef. Or kung gusto niyang magkaroon ng parlor!" she jokingly said.

Regine said she and husband Ogie Alcasid will always be there to guide Nate. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
