Annabelle pities son's girlfriend

TALENT manager Annabelle Rama defended young actress Sarah Lahbati on her current spat with home network, GMA-7.

Last week, Sarah announced on micro-blogging site Twitter that she's taking a break from showbizness and will go back to Switzerland to continue her education. She also signed a co-managed contract with Annabelle and GMA Artist Center.

GMA then released an official statement saying that the actress violated her contract with the station and she was also accused of walking out during a taping, causing the production team to pack-up and incur additional cost of P500,000.

The network promised an investigation into the alleged incident, which Sarah denied.

Reacting on the controversy, Annabelle said on Twitter: "Ayaw kong makialam sa gulong yan. Everytime na may gulo sa GMA-7, palagi na lang ako isinasangkot, palagi na lang akong kontrabida na di ko naman naranasan noong dalaga pa ako at nag-aartista pa lang."

"Wala akong kinakampihan, pero naaawa lang ako kay Sarah."

According to Annabelle, the 19-year-old actress is too young to be involved in this kind of mess.

"Kabibirthday lang nya 2 months ago, only daughter. Parang si Ruffa ang tingin ko sa kanya. Napamahal na rin sya sa akin. Hindi ko alam ang puno't dulo ng problema,” she said.

Annabelle then explained that Sarah did not "walk-out" from a particular shoot, instead, she was asked to wait for almost 12 hours.

"Sarah called me ng 3:30 a.m., crying. Sabi nya, almost 12 hours na sya sa set, pero di pa rin sya nakukunan. May Eat Bulaga pa sya at maaga ang calltime, pero hindi nya ma-contact ang handler nya, kaya ako na lang ang tinawagan nya para makiusap sa EP (executive producer) ng Indio, kaya I called up Camille, and asked her kung bakit di pa nakukunan si Sarah at almost 4 a.m. na!"

The EP replied to Annabelle that they still have a lot of scenes to shoot.

"I told her, bakit di mo na lang sya inischedule ng 1am, kawawa naman naka costume pa habang napakatagal na naghihintay? Parang tinortorture nya si Sarah, kaya umiral ang pagkananay ko,” she said.

"Nagalit ako. Sabi ko, bawal yang ginawa mo. Ang tao, kailangan din matulog, kung ikaw kaya magsuot ng costume at lagyan ng corona sa ulo at maghintay ng almost 12 hours, matutuwa ka?"

Annabelle requested the people involved not to invent stories as she hoped that the issue involving the girlfriend of her son Richard will end soon.

"I will just light a candle and pray na sana matapos na lahat ng gulong ito,” she said. (Sunnex)
