Maja tight-lipped on real score with Gerald

"HINDI ko po masasagot yan. Siguro po siya na lang ang tanungin ninyo."

This was Maja Salvador's answer to the entertainment press when asked on rumors linking him to Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson.

The two are said to be dating now after photos of them surfaced in photo sharing application, Instagram.

Maja said that although she doesn't need to explain herself to the public, she was at Misibis Bay in Cagraray Island, Albay with her cousins.

She then confirmed that they were in the same flight bound for Bicol but Gerald was with his friends.

"Hindi po kami nagdi-date doon. Andun ako kasi bridal shower ng aking pinsan, ang aking best cousin. Siya din ay andun kasama ang mga kaibigan niya."

The actress further explained: "May isa kaming pagsasama, 24/7 In Love Davao (promotional tour), so sa plane napag-usapan namin yung Misibis. Tapos nasabi ko na maganda doon, maganda yung activities doon, kasi nagtatanong siya kung saan yung magagandang lugar."

"Tapos humingi siya ng number. Nagbigay ako para ma-check niya kung okay. After noon, nagkita kami sa Italian Festival, tapos sabi ko na 'Oy pupunta ako ng Misibis with my cousins, bonding and bridal shower. Tapos sabi niya na "Ah sige ayusin ko din." Ganun lang."

After that Misibis trip, Maja also attended one basketball game with Gerald and her cousins.

Now that she's single and Gerald is also available, is there any possibility that their friendship will eventually lead to romance?

"Ayokong sagutin yan. Kasi sa ngayon nagugulat din ako bakit nangyayari ang mga bagay na ganito," Maja said. She added: "Okay naman po siya (si Gerald). Isa naman po siya sa mga naging kaibigan ko dahil kay Enchong (Dee), kay Rayver (Cruz)."

Although she didn't want to confirm the rumors that they are currently dating, Maja's close friend and Gerald's ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu revealed some details during the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" press conference.

"For me, I'm happy for them. Wala naman pong masama, pareho naman silang single and maging masaya na lang tayo sa kanilang dalawa. Nakakalungkot lang kasi yung friendship nasayang (Maja)," said Kim.

When Maja was asked how is her friendship now with Kim and if the latter knows about the closeness between her and Gerald, the actress said they are okay.

"Simula umpisa alam naman po ni Kim ang mga nangyayari."

When asked to comment on reports that Kim unfollowed her on Instagram, Maja just smiled and said: "Si Kim na lang po ang sasagot niyan." (Sunnex)
