Bong willing to mediate GMA Network, Sarah Lahbati

Senator Bong Revilla hopes that mother network GMA-7 and co-star Sarah Lahbati would soon settle their difference and said he's willing to mediate for both parties.

Sarah plays the mother of Revilla's character in the new epic primetime series "Indio" which is slated to air this Monday, January 14.

In an interview with the actor-turned-politician during the special press screening of the program, he said that it is unfair for both parties to be involved in this latest controversy.

"Sana maayos na lang yung problema na yun dahil unfair sa both side na para pagtalunan yung walang kabagay-bagay. Gusto ko nga na gumitna. Kung pupuwedeng gumitna ako, gigitna ako para ayusin. Dahil walang dapat pagtalunan," Bong said.

He added: "Ayoko lang na may nag-aaway, hindi nagkakasundo. Gusto natin magkasundo lahat. Kaya kung pupuwede na lang, ang pinakamaganda niyan, magkapatawaran na lang both sides."

Revilla also clarified that the script of the series was not revised or affected because of Sarah's absence. Her role was meant to be cut short.

"Hindi naman (nabago). Nakita ninyo, ang ganda ng role niya dito. Although, yun lang talaga yung role niya. Hanggang doon lang. Yung nanay ni Indio."

Bong added that Sarah has the potential to make it big in the entertainment business and it is unfortunate that things turned sour between her and the network.

Meanwhile, actress Rhian Ramos, who is also part of "Indio," believes the issue was blown out of proportion.

"I just think hindi kinailangan na maging ganito kalaki and it was really badly handled. I don't think the problem was supposed to be this big. I think with the people involved... everyone got a little too angry and a little too emotional. I have high hopes na it will be okay in the future."

When asked if she had the same problem as Sarah with GMA executives, Rhian said she never experience one.

"I never had that kind of problem. Actually ngayon hindi pa ako pumipirma sa artista center. Wala ako sa ICONS, wala din ako sa GMA Artist Center pero may project ako. Wala akong nakikitang ganung issue." (Sunnex)
