No long engagement for Geoff Eigenmann

ACTOR Geoff Eigenmann said he is not a fan of long engagements.

During the press conference of his newest afternoon series "Forever" opposite Heart Evangelista, Geoff said everything is going well between him and girlfriend Carla Abellana but noted that they have yet to discuss plans of settling down soon.

"Things like that we'll just let it fall into place, hindi na kailangan i-rush. Kakaumpisa pa lang ng taon and I don't want to say anything. Everything is going right and we are both very happy," he said.

Geoff and Carla are dating for almost three years now. The actor said he wants everything to be in its proper place when he proposes to his girl.

"When things like that, you have to be prepared not just emotionally. As much as possible when I'm going to propose, everything is set para wala ng problema," he said.

"(And) if ever may proposal that would happen, gusto ko within 3 months or six months na agad yung wedding. Ayoko yung propose now then after 2 years pa yung wedding. Gusto ko tuloy tuloy na," he added.

Geoff, who is currently residing with her mother Gina Alajar, said he's keen to have his own house before getting married.

Right now, his main focus is his showbiz career. He likes the idea of working again with Carla in another series.

"We're always wishing with that. Kasi diba love of my life kaya as much as possible pwede pati sa trabaho kasama ko siya, para di na din mag worry what is happening and all that," he said.

The two met while doing "Rosalinda" in the Kapuso channel.

When asked if he gets jealous when Carla is partnered with another guy, Geoff said they don't meddle in each other’s career.

"This is our work. This is the nature of our work so there's no reason to get jealous. Alam naman namin yung totoong nangyayari. It was never a problem with us," he said.

"As much as possible ayaw ko (kissing scenes). Pero if a movie or a scene calls for it at kailangan talagang gawin, ganun talaga. We just need to go with the flow," he further said. (Sunnex)
