Rayver, Cristine ended controversial romance

KAPAMILYA stars Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes finally confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

The revelation was made by the two in a canned television interview aired on "The Buzz" Sunday afternoon.

"Matagal na kaming naghiwalay, last year pa. We gave our best dito sa relationship namin. Ganun siguro talaga," Rayver said.

The dancer/actor immediately clarified that there's no third party involved in the break-up and they ended their relationship as friends. Rayver said Cristine will forever be part of his life.

"Siguro kasi bata pa kami pareho. Gusto namin mag-focus sa work. Gusto namin mag-focus sa sarili namin," he added.

When asked why they decided to keep mum on their break-up, Rayver said they went through a lot in the relationship and they want a peaceful and quiet ending.

"Nung naghiwalay kami, discreet na lang, huwag na lang maingay. Huwag an lang sabihin in public kasi nag-start ang relationship namin na sobrang daming nadaanan, madaming naapektuhan. So sa tingin namin ganoon ang tama."

Rayver added that at the end, he decided to speak up because Cristine is linked again to negative rumors.

"Sa huli kasi ang dami nang nakakahalata and AA (Cristine) is being unfairly judged na naman. Nag-decide ako na dapat sabihin na natin."

The actress is currently rumored to be dating "No Other Woman" lead actor Derek Ramsay.

According to Cristine, they do hang out sometimes.

"Siguro kasi nakikita nila kami sa labas. Para sa akin wala naman akong nakikitang masama doon kasi ever since, kahit nung sila pa ni Angelica (Panganiban), pumupunta kami sa house nila. Nagha-hangout kami doon."

In a prior interview with Derek, the Kapatid actor clarified they are not dating and he's just really good friends with Cristine. He added that he's friends with Rayver. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
