ACTOR Patrick Garcia wishes to reconcile with ex-girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado for the sake of their son, Alex Jazz.
Jennylyn recently refused to answer and acknowledge questions involving Patrick. She remained tight-lipped on the status of their friendship and said that she's happy with her family life.
She also declined to answer questions whether or not Patrick still pays a visit to their son.
In a recent interview with Patrick, he confirmed that he hasn't seen his son for some time now. He said his misunderstanding with his son's mother was caused by his failure to give child support.
"I've always explained to Jen naman. Kasi few months ago work was scarce, wala masyado, so yung suporta ko kay Jazz naho-hold back pero I explained to Jen na pagdating ng salary ko, I will always give to Jazz," he said.
Patrick felt that his former girlfriend thought he's holding back on their son.
"Pero feeling niya siguro I was really holding back because hindi ako nakapagbigay ng two months. Pero noong third month nakapagbigay ako, pero nangyari na lahat," he said.
"Sana if she was just patient and if she just believed me na what I was saying was true, sana hindi kami nagaway-away," he added.
Right now, he said that his only hope is to settle his differences with the mother of his child and to see Alex Jazz again.
"Sana magkaayos. I still love my son very much, I love him very much. I love Jazz. I miss him and I want to spend many days with him because I don't want him to grow up not knowing me," he said.
He added that even Jennylyn's mom advised him to fix the conflict with her daughter for the sake of their son.
"I think Tita Lydia (Mercado) was honest naman na after a while sinabi niya kay Jen na nagpunta ako doon, which is the right thing to do. Tita Lydia advised me na yung problema namin ni Jen kami lang ang makakaayos. So I'm just waiting for the right timing na I have to approach Jen and tell her na we should talk and settle this," Patrick said.
Patrick believes that timing is very crucial in settling his differences with Jen.
"Gusto ko everything is okay, yung wala na siyag masyadong galit. I think Jen is grown up naman na I'm still the father of Jazz and one day her heart will soften and allow me to see our son again," he said.
Meanwhile, the actor confirmed that his non-showbiz girlfriend of two years is pregnant. "Yes it's true. My girlfriend is pregnant. We're happily expecting a baby girl next month."
According to Patrick all is well between him and his girlfriend's family and they've been very supportive of the happy news. "It was never a secret. I just don't want to talk about it. I like my private life private," he ended. (Sunnex)
