SUPERSTAR Nora Aunor is set to grace the primetime block in the latest TV5 series "Never Say Goodbye," which airs starting Monday.
Set in Benguet and Baguio City, the teleserye tells an entangled love story of young love and past heartache.
In a desperate attempt to run away from an arranged marriage, Kate, played by showbiz newbie Sophie Albert, flees to Baguio where she will meet William (Vin Abrenica) when she stays at the famous Manor Hotel.
As the young man tries to help the damsel in distress, he decides to bring her to his hometown. Little did they know that their lives are connected by deep wounds from the past. William’s mother, Marta, played by Nora, was framed by Kate’s mother Criselda (Alice Dixson) for a crime she did not commit.
"I saw the pilot and ang ganda. Ang ganda ng chemistry ng cast, they're really working together. Si Alice and Cesar believable yung team-up nila. Si Gardo and Ate Guy din," Perci Intalan, TV5 head of Creatives and Entertainment Production, said.
He added: "Pag pinanood ninyo, maniniwala kayo sa characters nila. Bihira ko magustuhan yung isang series sa first editing pa lang."
Also joining the series are young talent Edgar Allan Guzman and seasoned actors Gardo Versoza and Cesar Montano.
Directed by Mac Alejandre, "Never Say Goodbye" will air weekdays at 7:30 p.m. (Sunnex)
