ACTOR Cesar Montano confirmed that he is now in the process of fixing his marriage with wife Sunshine Cruz amid rumors of his alleged extra-marital affairs with a young actress.
In an exclusive "The Buzz" interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda, Cesar said he would not do anything to hurt his family.
"In a marriage, it's not perfect. We're not perfect people. Nagkaroon ng problema. We're in the process of fixing it. I need prayers from our friends," he said.
The controversy started when Sunshine posted "heated words" on her social networking accounts, Twitter and Instagram.
In one photo, the actress posted a message asking if it was decent for a woman to send provocative photos and messages to a married man.
Sunshine then posted comments to Krista Miller's Instagram account pertaining to the latter's supposed illicit affair with her husband. The actress also revealed that some items posted by Krista on the photo-sharing app were, in fact, her gifts to Cesar.
In an interview with actor, he clarified that Miller is just his co-star in the upcoming biopic "The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim."
"She's an actress in the film. Maganda yung role niya. I feel sorry about her kasi na-involve siya dito. Kasama siya sa cast ng pelikula, iyon lang siya," Cesar said.
Cesar dismissed that he moved out from their marital home because of the controversy. The actor clarified that he never left the house and that he only stayed in Manila Hotel for filming reasons.
"Hindi ko alam na pinalayas na pala ako sa bahay ko kahit hindi pa ako lumalayas sa bahay ko. At dahil nagsho-shooting ako at hindi ako umuwi sa bahay ko for two days dahil I lived in Manila Hotel for one day," he said.
The actor said his call time is at 7 a.m. in Intramuros, Manila, and they would usually end shooting at 12 midnight. The production crew convinced him to stay in the said hotel.
When asked by Abunda on his reaction that many are taking this story as a big PR stunt to promote the movie, Cesar said he won't do anything this kind to ruin his family.
"For me it's cheating. I don't want to promote my film that way. Ipro-promote ko siya ayun sa kagandahan ng pelikula, hindi yung gagawa ako ng eskandalo ng pribadong buhay at idadamay ko pa ang pamilya ko," he said. (Sunnex)
